Colin Gilbert
It is with very great sadness we were to learn of the sudden death of our President, Colin Gilbert on 14th December 2014.
Colin has rejoiced in being the President of our art group for some years now, and as we all know, he was a well respected and well liked member of the group. He had an enormous painting talent, coupled with an astounding wealth of knowledge of all things connected with the art world, and his recall of the names and painting styles of past and present masters was amazing. We had the privilege of sharing his 90th birthday celebrations just six short months ago, and he took great pleasure in the event and in bringing his family in to share the evening. It was a night to remember, and will now be a lasting fond memory of a very special man.
It is very true to say that he will be very sadly missed by our group. May you always rest in peace Colin.
